(F109-BR85, FKM, Viton /Du Pont/, Ecorubber 2)
An elastomer based on fluorine rubber. The name Viton is a trademark registered by Du Pont for this material. It is used for self-sealing rings, lip rings, self-sealing chevron rings, scrapers, initial compression elements and special seals. This material is characterised by a high resistance to temperature, chemicals, ozone. It also has a good resistance to sulphur oils and mineral grease, slow-burning HFD liquids. It is not resistant to anhydrous ammonia, sodium and potassium hydroxides, ketones, ether, dioxane, persistent amines and organic acids.
