FA - O – 1000 board Board description
The board is a composite of aramid fibres, thermally resistant mineral fibres and fillers bonded with NBR rubber.
The board is reinforced with steel mesh.
Classification
FA-AM1-St in accordance to DIN 28091-2
Application
The board is used for cutting out seals operating in environments of oil, petrol, petroleum and other petrochemical products and alcohols, steam and water in the range:
Maximum pressure 12 MPa
Maximum temperature (-)40 – (+)350°C
Maximum steam temperature 250°C

Note: in the case of simultaneous occurrence of elevated pressures and temperatures, the maximums of 6MPa and 250°C are assumed.

Standard thicknesses: 0.8; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0; 3.0; 4.0; 5.0 mm
with a tolerance of +/- 0.1 mm for the thickness of 0.8 mm
and +/- 10% for the other thicknesses)

Standard formats:
1000 x 1500 and 1500 x 1500 mm (with a tolerance of +/- 40 mm)

FA ECO board The board is a composite made from synthetic fibres bonded with NBR rubber.

Application:
The board is characterised by a high adjustability to sealed surfaces with small pressures (use for flanges which require small installation pressures). Due to the high increase of thickness, in particular during operation with cold and hot water, self-sealing occurs.
The board is used for cutting out seals operating in environments of cold water, hot water, inert salt solutions and non-aggressive gasses in the range:

GWM graphite board with metal insert The board is a multi-layered composite consisting of expanded graphite, reinforced with an insert made from acid-proof, perforated steel sheet 0.1 mm thick. GWM boards are a commercial equivalent of boards sold under the names: Guarcograf GR, Grafo 550P, Graflex GR, Sigraflex Uniwersal and other graphite-metal boards.

GR-1M-St in accordance with DIN 28091-4
Application
The board is used for cutting out seals operating in environments of most chemical substances, except highly oxidising ones, in the range:
Maximum pressure 12 MPa
Maximum continuous operation temperature 550°C

They are particularly recommended for sealing steam conduits with high parameters, heating installations with the heat carrier in the form of oil, pipelines transporting hot substances to the cooling equipment, inspection windows, pumps, fittings and other airtight connections with the operating pressure of up to 12 MPa and temperature up to 550°C.
