NBR
(N107-B85, Rubber, Ecorubber 1)
A popular elastomer based on acrylic nitrile butadiene, used for self-sealing and lip rings, self-sealing chevron rings, scrapers, special seals and initial compression elements. This material has a very good resistance in mineral oils, hydraulic HFA, HFB, HFC pressurised fluids.
It also has very good mechanical properties /grindability resilience/. It is not resistant to glycol-based brake fluids, HFD fluids, aromatic compounds /e.g. benzol/, esters, ketones and amines, as well as concentrated acids and bases.
